VOM Advanced does not correlate objects with all sharing hosts. VOM Advanced randomly associates shared file systems, volumes, disk groups, and databases with one of the hosts. The following issues may arise as a result of this way of correlating objects:
A shared volume may be associated with a different host than a file system sitting over that volume.
VOM Advanced cannot associate a file system with both a global zone and a non-global zone. If a file system is exported from a global zone to a non-global zone, VOM Advanced associates the file system with one type of zone only.
To calculate the assigned capacity in the host allocation package, VOM Advanced assigns a shared LUN to both of the hosts. VOM Advanced does not include an is_assigned_as correlation property.
VOM Advanced cannot show shared objects on all associated hosts. However, VOM can show shared objects on all associated hosts. In VOM Advanced, you can use the host consumption package to show storage reports as follows without counting the storage multiple times:
