As you run the program, you are prompted to answer "yes or no" questions that are typically followed by a set of responses resembling [y, n, q, ?] (y). The response within parentheses is the default, which you can select by pressing Return. Enter the
? character to get help to answer the prompt. Enter
q to quit the installation.
Installation of VCS depots takes place only after you have confirmed the information. However, you must remove the partially installed VCS files before running the installvcs program again.

At some points during the installation, the installer prompts you to type information and expects your responses to be within a certain range or in a specific format. The installer provides examples. If you are prompted to enter an item from a list, enter your selection exactly as it is shown in the list.
When the installer prompts you to answer a series of questions related to a configuration activity, you can enter the
b character to return to the first prompt in the series. When the installer displays a set of information items you have entered, you are prompted to confirm it. If you answer
n, the program lets you re-enter all of the information for the set.
You can install the VCS Java Console on a single system, which is not required to be part of the cluster.
